Integrated Releases

You only have a few seconds to capture a reporter's attention. So you need your information to be easily accessible. Oftentimes, press releases are sent to reporters as attachments in emails.

However, this is not the best practice for a couple of reasons.

  • Most reporters, by company policy, are not allowed to open unsolicited attachments because of viruses and spam issues.
  • The more time it takes for a reporter to access your information, the less likely they are to read it. As a result, requiring a reporter to open an attachment drastically decreases the likelihood that they will read your company news.
